Barbara Lenox is a quiltmaker who teaches classic, traditional pieced patterns. She has been making quilts for over 20 years. Her earliest “quilting” memory is reading Nancy Drew books under the frame while her grandmother and great-aunt quilted. She and her husband live in southeastern Pennsylvania near Amish Country.

Barbara specializes in making difficult quilt patterns "quilter-friendly". Her unique method for machine piecing Tumbling Blocks was featured in the April 2007 issue of Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine.

While Barbara is not interested in how quickly something can be done – she does believe that life is too short to suffer. Sewing room time should be rejuvenating – not exhausting!! So Barbara will stress attention to detail – but she will also provide tips, tools, and techniques that make the seemingly difficult – doable!! Each student is given the necessary information to achieve success and each one is encouraged to work at the level she/he will find satisfying.

Her students credit her detailed handouts and her enthusiastic, patient teaching technique with their success. They have discovered that her precise sewing/pressing plans will allow them to achieve high-quality visual results.
